I don't know if you've noticed - but none of the footage I've seen shows people being swept away like in Indonesia or Thailand a few years ago. However - when looking at the flood devastation, there has to be many dead... and I'm afraid the dead would be those to weak or slow to move out of the destructive path of the tsunami.
Since it was Friday at 2:46 when the tsunami hit - dad (and maybe mom) might be at work - kids might be at school... but the grandparents and babies... they would be at home.
I just shuddered, and I hope like hell I am wrong.
