Because someone stumbled across this blog wanting to know how to say: "I am a dinosaur", let me help:
"Watashi-wa Kyōryū desu."
The u is more or less silent in desu.
The o and u in 'kyoryu' are slightly longer but not completely exaggerated.
Ryu should be pronounced ree-you, but without any hesitation or separation. It's one syllable.
Kyo is the same... one syllable. ki-yo = kyo.
That's one public-service announcement down. Uh... this does count as global community service, doesn't it?
Cheers,
Andrew Joseph
